Pupil Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

What is Pupil Premium?

Pupil Premium refers to an amount of money that the government pays to schools in order to help them support children who are currently in receipt of free school meals or who have already had free school meals.  Pupil Premium is also paid for the children of service families, looked after children and adopted children.  The money is given to ensure that those children are able to make as much progress in their learning as those not in one of the target groups.

Pupil Premium money is attached to particular children and will follow them if they move from one school to another.  Therefore, the money is paid to schools in termly instalments.
